My partner drinks 2 bottles plus of wine a night on average, sometimes much more. She claims she does not have a problem. I have told her she can't see her problem. Is there anything I can do to help her?? She is driving me mad with her drinking plus it's costing a fortune.

Hi there...It sounds like your girlfriend is in denial and you are helping her stay there...
Trying to make sense to someone who is intoxicated ( and when drinking this much is "always" a bit impaired) is a losing battle and actually not your battle at all!
Might be time to set some boundaries of your own, starting w/ not buying the Wine she can't stop drinking...
Although she doesn't feel there's a problem, you clearly recognize this and can make a choice whether to continue living with and being her supplier or not...
As long as you furnish her w/ what she needs, there is no reason for her to stop...
In every addicts life is a great enabler and this is exactly the relationship of which you've described...
I would turn the focus to you and ask if this is the way you want to live...There are so many great resources for help ( counseling, al-anon) for partners of...
Maybe you should attend a mtg. or reach out to a professional who can help you to better facilitate a plan toward success for you both...
Good luck... :|

Thanks babsdudley. Just find it all so difficult. I will look into meetings. I didn't know they existed for partners. That's a great help. Thank you.

what i am saying that if she is telling that she doesn't have problem then you should tell her that just one week she stays away from the wine or any of the alcohol things and if she is able to do that then it is not serious problem otherwise it is....
